U.S. Navy Bases to Begin Dabbling in Vegan Proteins
With a survey suggesting that more than 80 percent of U.S. military troops want more vegan meal options comes the news that an amendment introduced by Democratic Rep. Elissa Slotkin (D-MI) to the National Defense Authorization Act for the fiscal year of 2023 will include a pilot program that offers plant-based proteins at several Navy bases. Insurrectionist-at-heart and QAnon Kool-Aid guzzler Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) has attempted to strike the amendment and Rep. Chip Roy (R-TX) was triggered enough by animal-free proteins being offered to service people in 2021 to comment on a Twitter thread that, “A woke military that drafts our daughters, wastes resources on Green New Deal garbage, holds no one accountable for Afghanistan disaster, and prioritizes playing leftist politics over destroying our enemies. Rep. Roy voted no.”
